My views

A book published in 1925 and a movie made in 2013 became relevant to me in an inexplicable way. Was it the era, the writing, the story?...Well I just can't seem to get an answer to that question. It's all mysterious and uncertain,the way we find something in times where everything around us is at a standstill. Looking around for a means to pass my time I gladly stumbled upon The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald and ended up watching the movie as well. Although the book was lying on my shelf since a year and my efforts to begin the novel always went in vain. The reason for this will surely be accounted to the toughness of this book. It's a book that needs certain amount of attention yet it does no seek for it. Perhaps its Jay Gatsby's personality and his unquenchable thirst for love that attracts us.  The 2013 movie with the same name was just the perfect way to experience the content I had absorbed from the book and the way in which I had imagined th
