Image
So yesterday I watched Road House (2024) and decided to review it.  I've bifurcated the review into 5 points viz. The OG The Storyline The Cast Verdict Trivia  The same is available on my YouTube Channel  APWC Do check it out by clicking on the link. ( Review)   1) The OG Patrick Swayze's Road house which released in 1989 is a cult classic. But to be honest, I watched it because Jake Gyllenhaal's Road house was releasing. You see the irony.... watched the OG because of the reboot. wow Anyways, there are multiple reasons why Road house became a cult classic. The storyline was pretty new but follows a certain trope towards the 2nd half. The action sequences were good. In fact, the way Patrick portrayed a stoic, calm, composed guy amidst the chaos might have been the highlight. There's some accidental nudity which I don't know whether it was common in such films back in the 80s but thankfully they aren't there in the remake.

So yesterday I watched Bramayugam - The Age of Madness (2024) and decided to review it.  I've bifurcated the review into 6 points viz. The Introduction The Director  The Cast The Storyline Verdict The Current Streak of Malayalam Cinema The same is available on my YouTube Channel  APWC Do check it out by clicking on the link. ( Review) 1. The Introduction Bramayugam which loosely translates to The Age of Madness is one crazy ride and it does live up to its madness.  The black and white format which isn't very unique but it does surprisingly add a lot of aesthetic beauty to each and every frame.  In fact it makes it even more eerie and ghostly. The usage of colors would've never given the same results for sure. The movie is set in 17h century. The set design although may seem vintage but it does its job of showcasing the era it is set in. You might have seem Robert Eggers The Lighthouse, Martin Scorsese's Raging Bull, Schindler's list, Sin City , American History X, l

So yesterday I watched Merry Christmas (2024) and decided to review it.  I've bifurcated the review into 4 points viz. The Director The Cast  Storyline  The Background Score and Songs  The same is available on my YouTube Channel  APWC Do check it out by clicking on the link. ( Review ) 1) The Director Sriram Raghavan - Y'all might remember him because of Andhadhun, Badlapur, Johnny Gaddaar. His filmography is just exquisite. As a director or writer, he is pretty experimental in nature while dabbling into the crime mystery thriller genre His films mostly are a 1 time watch; max 2 but the fun and thrill you get whilst watching it for the first time is incomparable and unparalleled to many Indian films. especially the ones releasing these days. Let me take this moment to give a brief intro to his filmography. In his first film Ek Hasina Thi , we see an obedient, good looking, disciplined, well-mannered woman turning into a ruthless avenger in the 2nd half of the film
