Well honestly I'm not a fan of war based drams but I never thought a continuous shot film based on the WWI would be so intriguing and captivating. The reason why I stumbled on 1917 was due to the number of positive reviews from critics as well as the audience. Director Sam Mendes who is also the writer and producer tried telling the story that is partly based on an account told to him by his paternal grandfather Alfred H. Mendes. Making a war film based on a real life incident is difficult as it involves a lot of important aspects pertaining to the history that we have studied. Even though Meri Pyaari Bindu was not widely accepted by the audience and as usual critics had  their own shot at this movie, I decided to give it a try myself. Last night I finally saw Meri Pyaari Bindu which was released in 2017.I know this may sound a bit weird but I'm always in search of a good romantic film and this movie was a breath of fresh air. I genuinely liked how it broke and questioned certain stereotypical ideas of friendship that has been fed to us by all the Bollywood romantic movies for ages. I mean we all want a happy ending right- Boy meets girl,they fall in love,fight some odds and voila  they live happily ever after. Meri Pyaari Bindu is exactly opposite of that. It questions what reality is and whether "Happily ever after" even exists in the real world.
