Top 5 Hits of 2017

Finally 2017 has come to an end with some of the best and worst movies ever witnessed by mankind. So here is my list of the HITS Of 2017. I have not seen all the movies this year so your opinions may differ from mine.This list is entirely based on my perception about viewing cinema. Warning : Possible spoilers ahead.

TOP 5 HITS Of 2017 
     
 1)  LOGAN 
          

Who would have expected a comic book fiction film to be so good. With the end of Hugh Jackman's reign as Logan/Wolverine, this was one the best movies according to me as it had everything. The emotions were subtle and it touched my heart. The story line was perfect and right on point. The actors have done a good job be it Dafne Keen (X-23) or Patrick Stewart (professor X). With an IMDb rating of 8.1 this feels like one worthy final chapter for Logan which ends on a proper note without any loose strings.





2) DUNKIRK
        

A movie list without Christopher Nolan's masterpiece is just impossible. This movie is based on the real life condition of the war heroes stuck in Dunkirk during 1940, the period of world war II when the Germans were attacking the British and the french empire. The plot is seamlessly divided into 3 parts 1) The Mole  2) The Sea   3) The Air. Usually Christopher Nolan goes for heavy dialogues and character buildups but this movie was completely opposite of that. As this movie is about evacuation with slow story line , the soundtrack was just riveting and made the scenes more intense. The credit for the soundtracks should be given to Hans Zimmer. The clock ticking sound was a recorded version of Nolan's pocket watch which he had sent to Zimmer for synthesising. With an IMDb rating of 8.1,the experience was beyond amazing and that's why this movie deserves 2nd place on my list.



3) BABY DRIVER
        

What can I say about this epic adventure ride by Edgar Wright. I have already written a full fledged review about this flick please check that as well. This movie was beyond amazing. The story line was so simple yet worth a shot. You expect a movie to have good story, good actors, good songs and maybe good action sequences and baby driver has it all. In simple terms baby driver is an all-in-all epic film from the moment it starts. The actors are tailor made for their roles and they beautifully structure the script presented to them. If you miss this flick you might have missed something extremely cool.





4) GET OUT
    

A horror feature film which is not scary but turns out be a thriller. This movie starts with some spooky things being witnessed by Daniel Kaluuya (Chris Washington) on the journey to his girlfriend's parent's home. The suspense is more intriguing and it makes you so scared that you may never visit you girls house ever in your entire life. Justice was done to the story by the actors and the plain thought of being backward in thinking is portrayed brilliantly. I will not let the suspense out as I believe some of us might still not have watched this film.This movie has an IMDb rating of 7.7 so what are you waiting for go ahead, grab some popcorn and watch this film.

5)THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE
  

A list without an animated movie will be incomplete as we had some of the best and worst animated movies this year.The Lego batman movie was the best from the given lot of animated flicks released this year. We all have seen Bruce Wayne as the cape crusader, the dark knight blah blah blah. Now its time to see the real,lonely yet cooler than ever Bruce Wayne behind the mask. I really don't care whether this movie was for kids or for adults as this animated Lego flick showed the version of batman I never thought would exist. All his colleagues and his villains in one movie is a treat for the eye. I am a die hard fan of batman and according to me this was the most humorous adaptation of Bruce Wayne's life. If given a choice I would have placed this on the 1st position but that would be injustice to the other films and Bruce Wayne hates injustice. IMDb rating : 7.3
