Avengers vs Thanos

So finally Avengers: Infinity War is out and it does seem to have an impact on the audience. Being a huge MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) fan let me tell you I've waited for this epic battle since 2008. Yaa 2008 is the year when Iron man released and the world got Robert Downey Jr. in the form of tony stark. After a few years all the other characters were unveiled like Captain America, Thor ,Hulk, Black Widow and the list goes on. This entire decade from 2008-2018 was precisely used to create a perfect plot for all the characters to fit in and face Thanos. 

Infinity war is something all the fans waited for as we already had a glimpse of Thanos and his big shiny golden gauntlet. Joss Whedon ,who had previously directed Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron had stepped down from the game and seems like he didn't do "justice" in case of justice league. Lets not bring DC into this review as marvel has already proven its worth and has garnered a lot of audience. 

This movie cannot be fully reviewed without giving potential spoilers so here is a warning if you have not watched this movie please do yourself a favour and watch it.

In the end of Thor Ragnarok we see that all the survivors of Asgard are in a ship. That ship is hijacked by Thanos where he finds the tesseract and Loki gets killed in the process.The entire ship is destroyed and all the passengers are floating in space and that's when Thor hits the spaceship in which the guardians are travelling. Before the ship is destroyed Heimdall sends the hulk back to Earth which causes hulk to crash in the NYC sanctum where Dr.Strange is currently residing. Banner warns Stephen about Thanos and his search for all the 6 infinity stones. Strange immediately brings tony  and narrates the entire situation. Meanwhile Ebony Maw and Obsidian arrive in New York to snatch the time stone from Dr. Strange. Here spider-man joins the fight alongside Tony and Strange. Well the new iron spider suit is great and also Tony's new suit is hands down the best suit ever seen in the history of MCU. Wanda and Vision are living their life peacefully in Scotland where Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight arrive to take away the mind stone from vision. They are defeated by Steve rogers, Romanoff and falcon. I'll be using Steve Rogers rather than captain america as he had shredded that title in Civil War. They all reach the Avengers Compound where Banner and Rhodes are already present .Vision is later-on taken to Wakanda where Shuri tries to remove the mind stone. Meanwhile Thor leaves with Rocket and Groot to Nidavelliar where Thor along with Eitri creates the new strombreaker. Eitri is played by Peter Dinklage.

Thanos takes away Gamora as only she knows where the soul stone is. The soul stone is located in Vormir. Here we see Red Skull who has been cursed and his curse is to show the path towards the soul stone. The soul stone can only be acquired by giving the soul of your loved ones. Thanos pushes Gamora and sacrifices her soul in return for the soul stone.

In Wakanda, Steve Rogers and his team meets T'Chala and his Wakandan army who battle Glaive and Midnight along with their huge army filled with creatures.Nebula who was being tortured when Gamora was revealing the location of soul stone, kills everyone on that ship and send a distress signal to the Guardians to reach Titan. Titan is basically the homeland of Thanos. Thanos was banished because of his idea of wiping out half the population so that rest of the planet can live peacefully. After retrieving the soul stone Thanos goes to Titan where he faces Strange, Stark, Spider-man, Star-lord, Drax  and Mantis. They all lose because of Mr.Quill when he comes to know that Thanos has killed Gamora. Strange has no option but to giveaway the Time stone to Thanos. Final count, Thanos has 5 stones now namely: Power stone from Xandar, Space stone from tesseract, Reality stone taken from knowhere i.e collector's planet Soul stone from Vormir, Time stone taken from Dr. Strange

Before coming for the final stone, Wakanda is in a havoc situation and that's when Thor decides to take a trip to Wakanda to help the remaining avengers. Wanda destroys the mind stone which kills vision. Using the time stone, Thanos retrieves the last stone and fulfils his desire of wiping out half the universe. In this process we lose almost everyone. The list is quite big and writing that would make me cry.

Waiting for Avengers 4 which is currently untitled seems unfair. We even have to wait for Captain Marvel and Ant-man and the Wasp as they play a crucial role in bringing back the wiped away people back to life. On a serious note we don't get to see Hulk in the entire movie apart from the beginning and no sign of either Hawkeye or Ant-man in it.

Probably MCU is in their best stage right now with 19 blockbuster movies and many more to come. Let me remind you that although this is a Marvel flick but there ain't no happy ending to Infinity War.
