Sacred Games By NETFLIX

Come on Netflix, stop making such good watchable content. Netflix has never disappointed me by the content they are delivering these days. Sacred Games was much awaited by me since the first trailer dropped in. Looking at the kind of topnotch actors and directors working on this project, I instantly knew this was going to be something great. And it did turn out to be great.

Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane are those visionary directors who have made many Indie crime movies for a very along time (at least Anurag). So this was just a piece of cake for them as this genre is their speciality. Although the partnership with Netflix gives an additional support of no censorship which means that the directors are not pulled back by any sort of language or content barrier.

It is an adaptation of a book by the same name written by Vikram Chandra. Nawaz has always been good at playing these characters and he manages to do it again with finesse. Saif Ali Khan is a very fine actor and we get to know that from this series as well.

Basically the entire plot is about a 25 day span of time in which something big, something bad is going to occur. When Sartaj Singh (Saif) gets an unusual call from Mr. Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawaz) who was a big crime lord, Sartaj understands that something will happen if no action is taken. He then realises that almost the entire city which includes politicians, cops, actresses etc were somehow involved in the life story of Ganesh. Radhika Apte plays a RAW agent Anjali Mathur who is often referred as Delhi wale officer. Sartaj with some help form Anjali  reaches the final clue to find out that something destructive was being planned. Nawaz is telling the backstory of the mistakes that he did and about the people who were once nothing but became big politicians and officers by taking wrong routes and backstabbing him. It has its elements of suspense added to it which makes us binge the entire series as it has just 8 episodes with max 45 mins duration.

The final episode is stopped on a cliffhanger teasing that there may be a second season in the talks. I hope they bring such epic local Indian shows in the future as the audience is waiting for it.
More or less this is a must watch show and I need to stop right now otherwise I might end up ruining the plot. So the Head of Netflix, if you're by any chance reading this we want more of this type of shows in future. Remember, we are always waiting for such type of content as an audience.
