Mission Impossible: Will Ethan save the day?
Its been over 2 decades since the first instalment of Mission Impossible hit the screens and Tom Cruise is getting better with each instalment. That man is 56 and he is jumping of cliffs, flying copters, climbing the world's largest building and the list goes on. phew!...Sometimes I feel he is not an actor but a real spy/agent.
Like I stated earlier the first movie came out in 1996. It was an era when Rambo, Terminator, John McClane (Die Hard) and most importantly 007 Bond had already taken up the genre of action and thriller to the next level. Still Why is the Mission Impossible considered to be a flick we all love?
The answer is very simple. Their cast has been same with minor changes and they have tried to keep the level one notch higher with each and every release. Although all the 6 movies are great but people love Ghost Protocol i.e the fourth instalment in this series the most. To be honest I myself became a huge fan after watching Ghost Protocol not only because of the Burj Khalifa scene but the entire movie as a whole was just mind blowing. After that I watched all the 3 movies from the beginning and Tom Cruise turned out to be the actor I started loving the most.
Let me tell you one thing I'll not be reviewing Fallout today. I'll be reviewing the entire series.
Actually not reviewing I will be providing the reasons why I watched Ethan Hunt and his crew kicking ass and saving the day almost pretty much in each and every movie.

To begin with lets consider the latest 2 flicks i.e Rogue Nation (2015) and Fallout (2018). Rogue Nation had one of the best opening scenes till date. This movie had an underwater scene, a fast bike chasing scene but the opening scene was something on a different level. In Fallout they were pretty much out of ideas so they tried more aerial stunts like the Halo jump and the helicopter chase. In the latest instalment they decided to make the story-line far more better by not adding unnecessary stunts. They brought in Henry Cavil and man-o-man the hand-to-hand fight sequences were amazing. The rest of the cast have recurring roles and they do their best but Ethan Hunt is the one who changes the game always. Now lets come back to the first 3 movies. They do have an impact on Ethan Hunt's character, his personal life and how he pulls out such amazing stunts.I don't have much to say about the prequels as they are great but the entire game was changed when Ghost Protocol came into the picture.
Damn from the first scene to the last scene you see Ethan Hunt running like he is an athlete. From the opening Prison escape scene to the ending scene where he runs like hell in a parking lot to catch Hendricks, they made a heck of movie that will be remembered by people for a very long time.
I guess I should stop now otherwise I'll be continuing my appreciation for Ghost Protocol and you'll will get bored. Although I'm a Bond fan but MI changed the game entirely in less than 6 movies. That is an achievement.....Maybe was that the mission they chose to accept
