My views

With huge expectation and little faith, I went to watch 83 and I must say that the film has surpassed my expectations by a mile. Kabir Khan, bow down as you've created one of the greatest cricket movies of all time which has success written all over it. Before I delve into the plot, I just wanna show my gratitude towards Kabir Khan who has helmed this project and has done such a wonderful job. I always consider a director's job to be the toughest as failures are a skid mark in an actor's career but the very same failure is how the world perceives a director with. The movies that you see shapes up your personality but the movie that you make shape your identity. This ideology is the sole reason why I always felt that the director's role in a project has more weightage. In fact since the initiation and sudden rise of OTT platforms, people have started watching movies and series based on the directors they've previously enjoyed watching.  I believe after Bhaag Milkha B...

Well, let me make this clear before I start....the rumors were true and this might be a full blown spoiler review. So read it at your own risk.  The most awaited flick Spider-Man : No Way home released in India on 16th of December and honestly people lost their shit. Actually, I lost my shit too as we were going to experience the multiversal villains make a comeback. The most important of them all was the comeback of Tobey and Andrew (Not a secret anymore Marvel...huh?) which was purely nostalgic.  Now you guys have probably read my personal opinion about Tom's portrayal of the web slinger and how his predecessors were more likeable in terms of character development and relatability and if not then click here . Although, it is my personal opinion and I don't expect everyone to follow the same pattern but Tom's character has developed a lot in this movie. In fact I was shocked to see how this young lad was able to provide the same amount of emotional attributes that Tobey a...

The first teaser of Dhamaka was released in the moth of March and since then I've been waiting to watch it. Especially since it was Kartik's first transition to the thriller genre. Honestly, I was not surprised that he was able to pull this off as I had faith in the actor and also the character he was playing.  Kartik Aryan started of his journey doing the normal, cheesy rom-coms and he was amazing in those roles but there are opportunities or should I say risks that an actor needs to take in order to blossom. What's worse for an actor apart from bad reviews ? Being typecasted into one genre and doing the same kind of roles again and again. Even the audience wanted him to do something more and Dhamaka was the right choice for him to showcase his acting prowess.  Dhamaka is a remake of the 2013 Korean film "The Terror Live". Now, I'm not a connoisseur of Korean movies but looking at the past Korean films that Bollywood has remade, we all know that they've g...

Amazon Prime has been putting out some great original content on their platform and it is really addictive. Previously I got hooked onto a show called The Boys and TBH I was highly impressed by the way it is created, keeping the comic in mind. The Boys is pretty influential in showing us the reality of superheroes but then came invincible which changed everything.  Although Invincible is animated, the show is somewhat on the similar lines. Not going to spoil the show for you but trust me the first episode itself is enough to get you hooked, especially the last 20 minutes.  Reality as I often say is an illusion which can be hidden from anyone but there comes a time when secrets start to unravel itself and people come to know about the truth. This one line is sufficient for you to understand what the show is all about. So, let's talk about what I liked and what I didn't like in this show. The show is just 8 episodes long which makes it bingeable and  one of the reasons why ...

Army of the Dead is finally out on Netflix and it feels like Zack Snyder is back with a bang. With Justice League hitting the right chords, Army of the Dead does bring a sense of likeability towards Snyder's directing approach. This is what you get when a production company is not planning to hinder your creative mind.   Although we've seen a lot of Zombie apocalypse movies and some of them are pretty good but Zack brings out a unique flavor to it. The story is about a heist that is happening in Vegas amidst a Zombie breakout. This idea is pretty distinctive in consideration to its predecessor but that's not it. We've have faster and smarter Zombies (Alpha). Still not impressed? We also have a zombie Tiger named Valentine.  When the word Zombie comes to our mind, there are a certain set of movies that make the list like World War Z, Zombieland, Shaun of the Dead, Train to Busan, etc. So, there is not a lot of scope to create something new that we as audience have not...

Well, we've finally got the Snyder cut and it is nothing short of a masterpiece. We deserved this movie in 2017 and what we got was utter trash. #ReleaseTheSnydeCut is hands down the biggest fan-based moment and I'm glad that I was also a part of this moment. Secretly, we all wanted to forget the theatrical cut of Justice League that was released in 2017.  Apparently, Zack's vision was butchered by the production house and they creatively decided to call Joss Whedon for repairing the film. Although, Joss Whedon has given us both Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, which have been successful in taking the MCU to where it is right now, he just couldn't manage to create that magic with JL. With the unnecessary cuts and reshoots, the film and its beloved fans suffered the most. But Zack still continued to work on his project and in early 2020, he assured all the fans that the so called "Snyder Cut" exists and it is almost completed.  The fan moment had gained en...

Movies....A form of entertainment, has always had an influence on me. Someone once said ,"We become what we watch" and honestly I do agree with that. Movies have the power to impact us in every way possible. The kind of movies you watch end up shaping your character. Needless to say, I'm a connoisseur of movies and that is the reason why I tend to watch movies of all the genres which is available to mankind.  Today, I'll be writing about the Indian movies that have had some kind of significance in my life and have also influenced some of my actions. This is like a recommendation of all the movies that have changed my ideology or questioned my lifestyle in someway or the other.  So, without any further ado, let's start this list: 1) Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) & Wake Up  Sid (2009)     It's the year 2013, I'm in my Xth and a movie named Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani is released. With great songs and beautiful locations, I finally decided to watch this film...
